Located in the midst of the Forest of Retz, near Soissons, in Montgobert, Aisne, Picardy, is a neoclassical French château of the late 18th century.
It has been the home of Napoleon’s favourite sister, Pauline Bonaparte.

The other parts of the museum are dedicated to the First World War and to traditional venery.

The tomb of Pauline Bonaparte’s husband, General Charles Leclerc, is located in the naturalistic à l’anglaise park.
